Debut Author Jody Hedlund tackles a difficult period in history, the reformation, and she gives us a glimpse into the lives of one of the most amazing writers, John Bunyan, and his wife. Jody Hedlund develops the setting and characters so well, that you become immediately immersed in the day to day lives of the period. It wasn’t until the close of the book that I realized who the story was based on; which made the book even more meaningful. If this book is any indication, we’ll be reading Jody Hedlund’s outstanding stories for years to come!
