Last week I conducted a phone interview with Kyle Idleman, pastor of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY, and author of Not a Fan.Becoming a Completely Committed Follower of Jesus. We talked about what it means to be a follower of Jesus, and how that demands all of who we are, and what we have to offer. I hope you’ll give it a listen.
When I was 16 years old I went to Creation ’96. It was held at Hershey Park in Hershey, PA that year. It was an awesome week of music, speakers, fun and fellowship. I was challenged by the speakers I heard, and I signed up to sponsor a Compassion child on that trip.
I know some folks criticize events like this, saying that the Christian walk isn’t about “mountaintop experiences” but when you’re a teen and facing peer pressure, it’s a real encouragement to see thousands of other teens who are seeking God.
